Age 80 b.C. Dacia weakened and divided in many tribes, which were fighting between, was in jeopardy by the invasion of the Celts. The cruel army of the Celts was plundering all in its way, only one small fortress, Sarmisegetuza was holding on a few weekes and very hard beleaguerment, thanks to a small group of brave warriors,leaded by the young general, Burebista. The number of the Dacian warriors was decreasing with every day that was passing by.. After a long day of fights the young general, tired went into the temple. Left only with his guardian he stayed silent and sad, gazing. "My king is dead, my country is in tears, most of my people have already died in battles, I don't know what to do anymore, I don't have any reason to live" " We have to go east, to the Carps for help", whispered the guardian," you are our new king and we need you alive" In that moment the priest entered the temple. Behind him there was an arrow, it fell in the middle of the temple.... they entered.... they are in the fortress. "Run my king, save yourself through the secret passage..." Angry Burebista wanted to go into the battle, but he was stopped by the guardian: "We need you alive", the key from the secret passage was the medalion from the priests neck. They succeded to go to the nordic wall of the fortress, unseen. There was the passage. The night was hiddind the sad face of the young king and the guardian knew that they would come back with a new army and a new, mature Burebista. |
